@ Mirta Creo que quiere decir que el agente de policía es ligado por una garantía financiera tal como está descrito aquí:
“Bonding Requirements: Section 502(a) of the LMRDA and provisions of Section 7120 of the CSRA establish bonding requirements for certain officers and employees of labor organizations. […] The required bonds are a type of insurance agreement which guarantees reimbursement to the union for any financial losses caused by fraudulent or dishonest acts by officers or employees, such as theft, embezzlement, or forgery.”

Ahora, no sabría como traducir esto en castellano… ¡Allí verás tu!

agente de la ley asegurado o protegido por seguro

Every law enforcement officer, capable of making an arrest, should be required to give a bond for the benefit of any person injured by the officer in the execution of official acts or those under color of office.

The required bonds are a type of insurance agreement which guarantees reimbursement to the union for any financial losses caused by fraudulent or dishonest acts by officers or employees, such as theft, embezzlement, or forgery.
