The term has two meanings relevant to printing, one broad, one narrow (no punning):

2. The white space formed by the inner margins of two facing pages, as of a book (American Heritage Dictionary).

In reference to definition 2, If we think of the two inner margins as one, then AWSAT would be an appopriate adjective. If we think of them as two, then DAKHILIYYAN would be more apporpriate (the other two margins would be the outer margins).
