I don't have much context, but it is to do with IVD again. It is a key parameter in capillary electrophoresis. I know what it is but I need a direct equivalent in Czech. Also polymer array, please

You are describing exactly what I have been translating, you were just a lot better at putting it in words. I have also been told that it is kapilarni pole but because, as you, I haven't found any hits, I have been reluctant to use it.

If you do medical translations, it is a good idea to have Czech MD and/or head nurse available to proof or consult on your translation. Otherwise you will kill somebody soon or later.

kapilára/kapilární pole

myslím, že ide o označenie substrátu, ktorý sa pri elektroforéze použije (ľudovo povedané, na ktorú sa analyzovaná látka nakvapká). Čiže buď sa použije kapilárne pole (nakvapká sa na kapiláru) alebo polymérové pole (napr. celulóza). Výraz pole sa v medicíne často používa na označenie nejakej plochy (sterilné pole a pod.)

agree Pavel Machač : sounds like the only possible translation after having checked the pics at http://www.beckman.com/products/specifications/geneticanalys... The only problem(?) is that ggle doesnt give single hit for kapilární pole
