Ik zie manufacturing/fabricage altijd als het produceren vanaf "niets" het echt maken van een product. Puur gevoelsmatig.

Ik denk dat je gelijk hebt, maar als je - net als het origineel - twee verschillende woorden voor hetzelfde begrip wilt gebruiken, maak er dan bijv. fabricage/productie van.

Manufacturing slaat meer op het fysiek bouwen van iets, terwijl met production meer het verlaten uit de fabriek kan worden bedoeld.

Boekhouder en consument moet je meer verwennen met het begrip production, degenen die het product werkelijk maken met het woord manufacturing.
