For log-log graphs, the value of the ordinate when the abscissa equals 1. It is also called the Y-intercept. It has the units of the ordinate. See slope, X-intercept, Y-intercept.
Bij nader inzien, denk ik, gezien het aantal hits op Nederlandse pagina's voor y-intercept, dat het misschien gewoon maar niet vertaald moet worden.

p.s. je moet je wel voorstellen dat op deze bewuste grafiek alleen het 1e kwadrant te zien is: d.w.z. alleen positieve x en y waarden.
