you should give more context. I found a meaning of blank that means cartridge, but that can't be made of cardboard

Rohling; Rohteil

ohne Kontext kann ich auch nicht viel sagen. "Vordruck" scheint mir bei Kartonagen unwahrscheinlich. Soll dieser Gegenstand nachfolgend bedruckt werden?

Grußkarte, Kalender zum Selbstgestalten

The only things I can think of are blank calendars or greeting cards (See link below:"Cardboard: A thin, stiff paperboard made of pressed paper pulp or sheets of paper pasted together. Used for playing cards, greeting cards, etc.)
You can decorate and design these things by yourself, with your own ideas.

I just thought about this solution, because undecorated porcelain is also called blank or blanks.
