Die "Luvtonne" heißt auf Englisch "windward mark" oder "top mark."
Für "Leetonne" finde ich im Web nur die Übersetzung "leeward mark".
Kann mir jemand bestätigen, dass "bottom mark" trotzdem "Leetonne" bedeutet (oder mich eines Besseren belehren)?

Heute werden kaum noch Dreieckskurse mit Luv-, Lee- und Raumtonne gesegelt. Üblicher ist der Up-and-Down-Kurs (auch "sausage course" genannt), bei dem es nur noch 2 Tonnen gibt, eine in Luv, die andere in Lee, bzw. aus der engl. Logik heraus oben (in Luv) und unten (in Lee). Man könnte also auch untere Wendemarke sagen.

Ich komme nur aufgrund von http://tinyurl.com/28ptmr auf diese Idee, da dort zwischen Luvtonne und Raumtonne und Leetonne unterschieden wird.
