This sentence is bad, no I mean really bad. The word "an" doesn't belong there, the comma should be "and" and the word "where" is not only superfluous, but wrong as well...

I know the difference between "verträglich" and "nachhaltig", but I don't think that this author does... ;-) // ...and 'ökologisch nachhaltig/verträglich' is what will appear in the translation (and hopefully make sense); the glossary term can be changed.

Yes, the jump is big, but only an environment or farm or landscape is ecologically sustainable, not a hotel.
