This randomly appeared in what is otherwise an IT text and I'm not good at electrical terminology. I also can't seem to find anything online relating to an A/B-Strang. Leo suggests "phase element" but I'm really not sure.

This has to be "bus", Scott, because the second sentence in your sample provided translates to:
"A three-phase UPS system is used per bus (A/B) to protect against power failures and voltage fluctuations".

A/B phase
Three-phase systems have four lines: one for neutral, others for A, B and C phases.

: I can't image a large computer center having incoming lines with only one phase. I suspect each of the lines A and B has all three phases.

A/B wire harness or A/B cable assembly or A/B supply line
I believe this might be understood quite literally, meaning the actual cables -
