German to English Tech/Engineering Furniture / Household Appliances Bed Part
"Holzfuß in Alu-Optik mit rundem Querschnitt für unverstellbares Unterbett. Höhe: 15 cm"

This is describing the leg or foot of a bed - one of the types of leg or foot available. I can't make head or tail of "Alu-Optik" (my best guesses get very unconvincing hits), and it seems rather illogical to associate wood and aluminium (it's either wooden or metal, but can't be both). TIA for your help.

In fact, I think I may have used "aluminium effect" in the job. But I don't just grade on the answer I went with at the time, but on what I think is the best overall solution and the best solution to enter in the glossary. "Aluminium finish" does get the most support and was quite well-referenced, so this is the answer I'll give 4 points to and the term I'll enter in the glossary.
