Wel l, then you know what I think. From the google results for each of the two terms + routing, I'd say that Streckenführung is the technical term and Wegfürung is more colloquial.

Are you sure there's supposed to be a difference and the author isn't just using two practically synonymous terms to cover all the bases, as is quite common in German texts?

I strongly suspect these are practically synomous terms, both traqnslating as 'routing'.
