German term

gegen X abheben

German to English Medical Medical: Pharmaceuticals
"Interessant war, dass Firma X sein Cefprozil mit einer Halbwertzeit von 1,3 Stunden für die einmal tägliche Therapie propagiert und es damit gegen Cefaclor abhebt."

Just not sure what to make of "abheben gegen" in this context...thanks for any suggestions. Here is what I have so far:

"What was interesting was that company X publicized their Cefprozil, with a half life of 1.3 hours, for a therapy of once daily and therewith it took off against (???) Cefaclor."

Thank you!!

stand out against X

"making it stand out from Cefaclor", "differentiating it from Cefaclor" - sort of emphasising the difference between Cefprozil and Cefaclor. Would this make sense?

maybe \"pitting it against Cefaclor\"
