Actually I think Kim's suggestion is a good one, but this would be another possibility - obviously it's just a turning around of the idea that's being expressed.

: conversance is a rather obscure word meaning to have knowledge of a subject - it is not possible to "establish conversance" (the more usual phrase is "to be conversant with s.th." - but it's just not appropriate here)
