As you will know, "Bindung” is a weave, and there are many different types of Bindungen, such as Leinenbindung (plain weave), Köperbindung (twilled weave) etc.The site below shows examples of these weaves (using metal wire)

I understand “Zug” to be the band (strip) of a certain weave rather than an 'action' performed by a loom. But I may well be wrong - your context will tell you if my interpretation makes sense.
