Comment: "This is a tricky one. This exam, which was taken at the end of a professional course of study (medical, legal, etc) was ended in 1990. Basically what it is is a professional degree. Although Nor. universities still use this term, there seems to be no generally accepted translation. My final choice for my context was "professional degree", but your suggestion would also work in a more generic sense. Thank, Lone."
