Norwegian term

kurssikring

Norwegian to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
På mindre viktige systemer som lys, stikkontakter, utstyr i boligkvarter, varmekabler og utstyr som ikke vil ha følger for driften eller sikkerheten, er det tilstrekkelig at elektriker eller instruert fagmann (instrument, HVAC) låser av kurssikringene eller bryter.

circuit fuse

The sentence is complete.

The translation should end with: " ... circuit breakers or fuses."

Note that reversed order is used in EnglisH
Peer comment(s):

neutral Per Bergvall : If you think the Norwegian sentence is complete, it must have hit your blind spot. ...eller bryter - bryter what? If it's a noun, it should be in the definite form to appear even remotely Norwegian. Låser av ... I rest my case.

The word "bryter" is not a verb but a noun in this sentence.

cicuit breaker

Could also be a circuit fuse. Sentence is incomplete - probably misses the word strømforsyningen (the power supply) at the end.
Peer comment(s):

agree Andrew Alix : This is the correct term. If it were a fuse, you would remove it. A circuit breaker has to be locked out.
