Norwegian term

bukomfang

Norwegian to English Medical Medical: Cardiology patient notes
Hun har stort bukomfang (and, what looks like: anvivelig nytilkomment - presumably a typo there) og ødemer i begge underekstremiteter.
If there's a particular term that's used, advice = appreciated (presumably means swollen abdomen or similar wording).

abdominal circumference

It seems the logical term, and I found lots of references to it, which all make sense!
Peer comment(s):

agree Per Bergvall : Why can't they just say the patient is fat - or obese, if fat is too plebeian?

! Imagined that in this PC obsessed world! Tx
agree Hilde Granlund : The patient in this case is not fat, he has ascites, and the abdomen has grown because of this
