You need to ask the client My guess is that it relates to payment proposals to customers who are unable to pay the full amount due. But that's a guess and this really isn't a Kudoz question, rather a client question.

I don't think so. A payment reminder suggests to me that payment is late. I amk not sure what the official English term would be, but it suggests that the terms of payment have not yet been determined and that one party is putting forth a proposal.
