: To me, an accounting entry is a single transaction assigned to a specific account/code, whereas this is referring to setting up that account/code

Won't argue on this one, Chris. I could've aced an answer 20 years ago, when working on a 5 year projects writing procedures, etc. for a business system filled with these terms. But there isn't much of that kind of work around these days.
