How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

if you have trouble with a term/phrase whatever the worst you can do is to post it as a monolingual question.

You have a point But when I asked the question, I didn't realize what I needed was an explanation and not a particular term. I thought it was something quite specific in the area of postal services (or printing for that matter). I do indeed know what uppdelning means, it just didn't make sense in this context. That was why I assumed it must be a term of some kind, so I posted the question here. If you would like to have the question reclassified as non-pro, that's OK with me.

KudoZ rules In FAQ 2.1 The following can be read: "Askers can also ask for help in understanding the meaning of a sentence, word order, a grammatical issue or the difference between two terms, but this should be done in the corresponding monolingual language pair. Monolingual KudoZ questions can be asked by selecting the same language for both source and target languages."

In other words, the mono-lingual Swedish site would have been the more appropriate forum for this type of question.
