Swedish term

manchestermornar

Swedish to English Other Sports / Fitness / Recreation Skiing
I just need confirmation from a skier that "Manchester mornings" - which seems to be the English phrase used for this Swedish word - is really correct in English. From what I gather it refers to skiing on the fresh new snow that can be found on slopes first thing in the morning.

I'd also be fascinated to hear the origins of this phrase, as "fresh" and "new" are not necessarily the first words that spring to mind when I think of Manchester...

It's not the city but rather the fabric ...

Thanks - that makes a lot more sense than Manchester the place!
