lovers of adventure

Hard to translate literally, often have to rephrase with a sentence such as "for those who love xxxing". Numerous possibilities depending on what one is enjoying (nature, food, music etc). Here I assume it is the nature of the island, its beauty and possibilities for trekking, canoeing etc.

bon vivant / bon viveur

I think honestly Terence's suggestion is better.

Just for the record, these French expressions were the first that sprang to my mind, but the associations are possibly too far in the direction of 'high life' in your context.

Recently I wrote 'people who enjoy life' in a similar sounding tourist text, and a little further on 'those looking for the good life' about a hotel with lots of facilities for every taste.
