Source text - German Der XXX speichert – ähnlich wie ein USB Stick – Daten. Einmal geschriebene Daten können jedoch nicht geändert oder gelöscht werden. Das Hinzufügen von Daten ist über einen begrenzten Zeitraum von 15 Monaten möglich. Alle Dateioperationen wie das Hinzufügen und Anhängen von Daten werden in einer Journal Datei protokolliert. Außerdem erfasst das Journal jeden Zieh- oder Steckvorgang des XXX Speichers. Die Einträge werden mit einem Zeitstempel einer unabhängigen internen Uhr im XXX Speicher versehen und sind ebenfalls löschgeschützt. Speicher-Protokoll
Alle Vorgänge werden in einer Protokolldatei auf dem Speicher mit Zeitstempel registriert. Das Protokoll beinhaltet sowohl Speichervorgänge als auch das Stecken und Ziehen des Speichers. Changing saved data

The following flash drive operations are permitted within 15 months of first use:
'Save as' under a new file name in any format with any content.
Adding new records to simple file types, such as .txt, .csv or .xml.
Reading any saved files as per a normal USB stick.
Flash drive log
All operations are saved and time-stamped in a log file on the flash drive. The log records flash drive operations as well as when the flash drive has been inserted or removed. Using an internal clock makes the entries objective and tamper-proof. The log is located on the XXX in a file called 'journal.txt'.

I am an English native speaker and life-long student of German. I started my working life as a professional translator for SAP in Walldorf, Germany, where I translated their banking software (everything from interfaces and online help to the associated marketing and training material). From there, I moved into industry and now have significant senior operational experience in the management consulting, high tech and social care sectors. It is this industry experience that sets me apart from many other translators.
Though I have always kept an active sideline teaching and translating German, I have recently increased my translating activity to near full time.
I have a BA in German and International Business Administration from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN, USA); an MA in Applied Language and New Technologies from the University of Hull (UK); and an MBA from Ashridge Business School (Hult International in the UK).
