Please note that this profile is still a work in progress.
For now I'll say that I'm not a certified, full-time translator with a language degree. Honesty is the best policy and I would rather not misrepresent myself and mislead others regarding my qualifications.
I do plan to eventually obtain certification and perhaps a Master's degree in technical translation.
However, while I may have not certifications right now, I do have significant experience translating in the general, marketing and technical (mainly engineering/piping/instruction manuals) fields.
I'm also interested in game translation - I would call myself somewhat of a gamer and I'm quite familiar with gaming culture, something that is especially helpful when it comes to translating online games.
So far I have translated a racing/car design game available on Steam ("Dream Car Builder") and I am working on another gaming project, although I cannot share too many details.
I have been - and technically still am - a beta tester for "Dominions 5: Warriors of the Faith" a fantasy turn-based strategy game by Illwinter Game Design.
I'm a Mathematics student, although it's not my main focus - I might even leave the subject behind (aside from using it in translation work) after finishing my degree.
My general culture is quite good and I have wide-ranging interests, especially when it comes to the the Humanities.
History is one of my greatest passions and I look forward to the chance to translate historical texts (including fiction) someday. I believe I might already be up to the task, as long as the contents are not too advanced.
I plan to update this profile and create a proper portfolio later. For now, as proof of my translation experience you can see my Upwork profile here: https://www.upwork.com/freelancers/~01078e4b8e76596687
I have also worked through other channels and platforms - such as through Freelancer, through an agency (Creators Bulgaria Ltd.) and with direct clients.
