Organization:
• Cátia Franco de Santana has a degree in Bilingual Executive Secretariat from Braz Cubas University and a post-graduation degree in Translation: English/Portuguese from Centro Universitário Ibero-Americano. Translator and reviewer since 2009, she works with Portuguese, English and Spanish languages, and is specialized in the Pharmaceutical area.

• Luciane Camargo has a degree in Languages from University of São Paulo, Translation and Interpretation from Associação Alumni and a post-graduation degree in Conference Interpreting from Estácio University. Translator since 2007 and Conference Interpreter since 2011, she works with Portuguese, English and Italian languages, and is specialized in cosmetics and skin care.

Theme of the event:
Translation of academic, commercial and editorial texts, and interpretation in the Health Sciences area.
Expected number of attendees: 130
Target Audience: Translators and interpreters of the Health Sciences area (Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmaceutical, etc.); language, translation and interpretation students who are interested in healthcare; healthcare professionals who are interested in translation; editors in general.
Objective:
The objective of the event herein is to promote the development of professionals who work translating healthcare documents or interpreting healthcare conferences and encounters. Lectures, half-day courses, workshops, roundtables and discussions will cover a variety of subjects in the area, from terminology to basic principles in healthcare, in a way to prepare translators and interpreters to provide a more accurate and appropriate service for those in need of such translations to make important decisions in their lives, to be part of their education or professional enhancement, or just to exercise their right to having access to reliable and accurate information. Bringing those professionals together and promoting the exchange of knowledge among them will greatly benefit all the ones involved.
Proposals:
Proposals must be submitted as follows:
• 1st page: Speaker’s precise bio with contact information (email and telephone number);
• 2nd page: Cover with presentation title and type of presentation (Lecture (50 min), Workshop (4h), Half-day course (4h)), font Arial, size 14;
• 3rd page: Abstract from 200 to 400 words, with up to 4 key words, font Arial, size 12, justified.

Title of the document: The document must be saved in .doc format and the title must have the following name: TITLE OF THE PROPOSAL_TYPE OF PRESENTATION
ATTENTION: All personal information must be restricted to the bio page. There is no need to add any bibliography.
Deadlines and information: proposals must be received by April 16, 2017 via [email protected], with the subject TRADUSA PROPOSAL 2017. Proposals selected will be announced by April 28, 2017.
Note: Speakers will have 50% off the conference registration.
