Inter alia the SDL groupShare allows the agencies to host their projects (To learn more about SDL Trados GroupShare, see https://www.sdl.com/software-and-services/translation-software/project-management/) . You get a user name, a password, you log in.

I am momentarily dealing with an agency where the GroupShare is implemented in a way that does NOT support https. Repeat:does not support HTTPS.

So everybody and his grandmother can listen on the communication. Grrreat! After all the litanies and conditions piled on me via NDA. For one it is my agency - so "concerned about integrity, security etc etc" - that blew it. But so has SDL, allowing this to happen in the first place.

Go fix'em SDL! in the mean time caveat translator!

PS: I refrain from naming the culprit agency - however, if you have anything remotely to do with groupshare on the agency side, have a look on the double.
