What do the numbers on the "About SDL Trados" mean?

Hello,
I was browsing through my Trados 2011 information in the Help > About SDL Trados menu and I saw that the pop-up window contains the following info:
SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP2R - xx.x.xxxx.x
... the xs being a serie of numbers. Can anyone clarify what this is? Is it a serial number, or a licence code perhaps?
Any info would be appreciated!

Also one could check winver or right-click an executable for even more funny numbers, yet what is the purpose? They are mostly for sysadmins or tech support, not mere users.

Thanks for the information, Samuel! An agency asked for that data and I was wondering what was the purpose. I guess they just wanted to make sure I had the program legitimately.

... they wanted to make sure you were on the latest version. To clarify what the numbers represent, using the latest version of 2011 which you don't seem to have:
SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP3 - 10.5.3191.0
The current version of Studio is actually this:
SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR1 - 15.1.2.48878
15 - is the major version .1 - this is the service release version .2 - this is represents the CU (cumulative update) number .48878 - this is an internal number that we generate with each build. This is required because each new build needs a unique version so that it can upgrade the previous versions.
This has changed slightly from the 2011 numbering... but you'll get the idea.
