In Word 365 I only see part of the icons, it toolbar stops at the editor icon. Where is Setup and "?" How to display version number? I looked at the manual but didn't find what I'm looking for. | | | Jean Lachaud United States Local time: 23:06 English to French + ...
To open Wordfast: Ctrl+w (sometimes twice, if Wf hasn't launched). Version number is displayed by clicking on the "?" tab. Note: above procedures have not been tested with Word 365. | | | Heinrich Pesch Finland Local time: 06:06 Member (2003) Finnish to German + ... If you're happy with the current version, and you don't need the additional features, don't upgrade. On the other hand, new versions of MS Word may not work as well with old versions of WFC. AFAIK, WFC 7 saves files in a different location, and some of the macros got renamed (which may break some of your own macros if you had inadvertently used WFC ones in your own recorded macros). The history page mentions a few highlights, but as always, your experience may not be reflected in what the history page says. AFAIK several changes were also made to the auto-complete feature. | | | DZiW (X) Ukraine English to Russian + ... no spieling/gaming | Dec 29, 2018 |
All Wordfast [classic] is but a single small .dot file (plus .ini), so no problem to install, backup, upgrade, or remove the app. @Samuel, I don't remember any gambling for newer versions always work alright, no? As far as there's technically no difference between registered or trial versions, even registering and managing large TMs should be fine too. While some say there're few modernizations in WF, it is a sign of stability)
