I have been an independent freelance translator since 2008, specialising in the fields of cosmetics (fragrances, make-up, skincare) and wines & spirits. The fast-paced beauty industry requires quick responses, creative writing and an eye for detail, especially in the luxury field, and I have been able to hone these skills over the past decade.



In 2014 I became a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, after taking their demanding qualification examination, which allows me to use the letters MITI after my name.



In July 2013 I gained the Wines & Spirits Eduction Trust Diploma qualification, which involved two years of part-time studying in the fields of viticulture, winemaking, marketing of alcoholic beverages, distillation and many other areas.

France has been my home since 2002, and my husband is French.

I live in Chablis and frequently translate for the wine industry.

Music is a major interest of mine; I play the violin and sing regularly with Ica Onna, a choir based in Auxerre.

In terms of sports I am an enthusiastic SCUBA diver and hold the PADI Advanced level.
