ProZ.com has been the greatest marketing tool I've used. My investment paid off really quickly and now I have more and better clients.

I've been a member since 2005, Plus member since it started. As it's my only marketing channel I'm quite positive about it. For me, the most useful function is the Blue Board. All of my clients have come via ProZ.com, both agencies and direct clients, even if not directly via ProZ.com but as recommended by my clients.

I would certainly recommend becoming a ProZ.com member. I have been able to get many jobs through ProZ.com. It's "before and after" for a translator who wishes to remain a freelancer. I cannot wait to renew my membership whenever it's due. Think about this: normally "one" project pays the annual fee.
