Legendas ocultas no Windows Media Player

Boa tarde,
Algum(a) colega me saberia dizer o que tenho de fazer para que as legendas de um vídeo apareçam com a visualização no Windows Media Player?
As legendas estão no formato .spt.
Será que tenho de instalar algum outro programa para que não fiquem ocultas?
Tanto o ficheiro do vídeo (.avi), como o ficheiro da legendagem têm o mesmo nome.
Muito obrigada por toda a ajuda que me possam fornecer.
