A fellow translator received the following e-mail:
Hi,
Do you speak English? We have a job offer for you. We are looking for people to translate simple English texts. You don't need to speak English perfectly, because texts need to be translated into... (your native language).
You can work from home. You only need a computer and an Internet connection. You usually get paid immediately after you have finished the translation of a specific project.

Generally the texts required to be translated are e-mails, short books, film subtitles, etc. You don't need any experience as a translator and the way to work is easy to learn.

There are some links that I don't know if I'm allowed to post, or if I can disclose the site and the company offering this "dream job". Needless to say, as it smelled so fishy, I have clicked one of the links and obviously they are asking for money to subscribe ($34 only today!!!).
Be careful and don't fall into this!

So enniboddi that Inglisch reeds can, can a reel translater is?
Seriously, how can anybody translate anything, especially subtitles, from English into language X when their knowledge (apparently verbal only) of English is not "perfect" and when they have no experience as a translator?

Oh yes, they can, Gudrun. Like these: So enniboddi that Inglisch reeds can, can a reel translater is? And these even make sense. Well, some / a little / a tiny bit of sense anyway.
