I have been working as an interpreter/translator at a manufacturing company since last year. Although neither translation nor linguistics were my main fields of study, I've always been very interested in language and communication. My studies were focused on pharmaceutical sciences and more recently in biophysics research. Professionally, my daily activities involve translation of manuals, emails and presentations, as well as consecutive interpretation in meetings and on-site inspections. Academically, I translated scientific reports as part of a doctoral visit I did in Kanazawa University. In my personal life, I enjoy playing video games in their original language, even if it means I spend more time translating than playing the actual game. |
