That is why most people do not think of the season of Bangladesh as the country of six seasons. After the summer it rains and then after the autumn somehow recognizes that the winter comes in a hurry and somehow leaves a little presence. Translation - Bengali হারিয়ে যাচ্ছে মলয় সমীরণ ; নেই সে আগের বসন্ত ফেব্রুয়ারী মাসের এই সময়টাতে রাস্তায় বের হলে একরাশ ধূলিমাখা দখিনা বাতাস আলতো করে হৃদয়ে নাড়া দিয়ে যেতো। সাথে মিষ্টি রোদের হালকা তেজ দূর করতো শরীরের রুক্ষতাকে।বসন্তের এই দখিনা বাতাস প্রবাহটাই "মলয় সমীরণ নামে পরিচিত। যে বাতাসে উত্তরের বাতাসের মত রুক্ষতার ভাব নেই। কিন্তু বিগত কয়েক বছর ধরে সেই আগের বসন্তটা যেন কোনভাবেই বসন্তের সংজ্ঞার পরিপূর্ণতা বহন করতে পারছে না। তাইতো বাংলাদেশের ঋতুকে বেশির ভাগ মানুষই আর ছয় ঋতুর দেশ ভাবে না। গ্রীষ্মের পরেই বর্ষা আর তারপর শরৎকালকে কোনভাবে স্বীকৃতি দেওয়ার পরেই যেন হুট করে শীত এসে একটু উপস্থিতি দিয়ে যায় কোনরকম। কিন্তু বিগত কয়েক বছর ধরে সেই আগের বসন্তটা যেন কোনভাবেই বসন্তের সংজ্ঞার পরিপূর্ণতা বহন করতে পারছে না।
