Je nach Kontext ... würde ich mich entweder (z.B. in einer Beschreibung und Analyse polnischer Bräuche oder in einem Märchen) für die wortwörtliche Wiedergabe "Gast im Haus, Gott im Haus" oder (z. B. in einer modernen literarischen Übersetzung) für das entsprechende deutsche Sprichwort "Der Gast ist König" entscheiden.

Nie zaglądałem akurat do słownika Ponsa, dopiero po wpisaniu Twojej uwagi, ale tam jest akurat Der Gast ist König i podane przeze mnie Gast im Haus, Gott im Haus. Jednak zamiana Boga na króla trochę dziwna?!

jest dobre, ciekawe czy ktoś zna lepszy przekład, znalazłem nawet Der Kunde ist König i to w słowniku Ponsa, który do tej pory uważałem za OK.
