When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Personal Income (Tax)

Hola Carina,

Referencias abajo. Espero te sirva!

Personal income tax is a direct tax paid by individuals to the government on their personal income coming from monthly salaries and wages.

In economics, personal income refers to an individual's total earnings from wages, investment enterprises, and other ventures. It is the sum of all the incomes received by all the individuals or household during a given period. Personal income is that income which is received by the individuals or households in a country during the year from all sources. In general, it refers to all products and money that you receive. [1]

Wikipedia
Personal income (before tax) is either the earned income or transferred income which received by households within the county or outside. Also personal income is the total capital that an individual receives from various sources in the course of life for a certain period of time. Personal income can include not only wages, but also a number of additional incomes (for example, dividends on securities, transfers, pensions, social benefits, rent, and so on). Personal income is calculated before deducting personal taxes charged to the subject. Personal income is an indicator that shows the real well-being of people and their ability to pay (before taxes) [2][3]

personal gains/earnings

I'm not sure whether there's a difference in your Spanish variant required between "ganancias" and "ingresos", but I would assume the same difference exists as it does in English, i.e., gains vs income.

"The states that ranked highest for business taxes had no or very low corporate income taxes, individual personal gains taxes, dividends and interest tax rates, and corporate gains taxes."

Personal Income Tax

Income tax is a tax on your income, wages and earnings. The federal government uses a progressive tax with seven marginal tax rates. It collects income tax over the course of the year. For most people, income tax comes out of your paycheck.
