Translation - English Anti-Communist Activities Act B.E. 2495 (1952)
'Communist Activities', under this Act, include infiltration, engaging in propaganda, agitation, espionage, sabotage and the use of force, for the purposes of:
1. Undermining national security, religious institutions, the institution of the monarchy, and the democratic regime of government with the Monarch as Head of State.
2. Changing the country’s economic system by causing privately-owned assets or means of production to fall into State ownership without due compensation being paid.
3. Reordering society in line with the principle that all property is communal (except where organised in the form of a Multipurpose Cooperative that has been established according to current law).

Translation - English Excerpt from the short story ‘Boat of Sinners’, by Win Leowarin.
The aging helmsman stood at the tiller and gazed out on the ocean ahead. A cool breeze brushed against his furrowed face, a face hardened by the wind and the sun. Its layered creases revealed a life rich with many tens of years of experience. Love, hatred, prosperity, deprivation - they had all been neatly folded and hidden away beneath those lines.
The night breeze was icy, but he was used to it. He pulled his coat in tight. Still nearly another hour to go. The old man pulled out a palm-leaf cigarette and lit it; a flash of light broke the darkness. His cheeks drew in as he pulled on the cigarette before turning his gaze to the group of ten or so men and women on board.
“Just a little longer. My last trip,” he muttered into the breeze, “and then I’ll have nothing more to do with any of this.”
The boat moved on slowly through the darkness, even though its motor was running at full power. All lights were out onboard, but the moon’s rays revealed piles of nets, freshwater tanks and messily stacked manila ropes. Most of the seven or eight young women slept, while the three men on guard sat keeping careful watch, pistols in hand.
