3 out of 5Simple yet does all of the fundamentals
Review by
pcs_MCILVery simple and easy to use, covers all the basic functions for a freelancer. However their Mac version has serious bugs that have been dragging over the years.
If you need to do more than the basics, WF Pro becomes less intuitive and requires some workarounds to get things done.
The price is competitive and there is a wide community and a good support. It covers well my needs as a freelancer and I am happy with it.

Great tool, excellent customer service
Review by
Maria Ortiz Takacs . I've been using Wordfast Pro for over a year now and, as I have to admit I have encountered some error messages, they are usually related to the format of the original document and not to the software itself. I used Trados in the past and didn't like it, especially because I found it much more difficult to use and the customer service was nonexistent if you don't pay for it. No software is perfect and of course, there's always room for improvement, but overall I'm happy with Wordfast Pro, it works very well with Mac and their customer service is quite fast and reliable. I highly recommend it.

User friendly, good value for money.

Clive PhillipsBeen using Wordfast Pro since 2009 for non-Word source texts. Has served me very well and v 3.0 does not seem to be too 'buggy'. Good value for money, compared with SDL Trados. I don't use its full functionality - due to my limitations! Good WF Pro users forum on Yahoo Groups, as well as Proz.

How easy is it to learn?
Don't buy it for Trados sdlxliff files
Review by
Jose Mariano . I have Wordfast Pro and Classic for some years. Now I found out that WF Pro can't read all the segments (missing words in segments without warning!) from a sdlxliff file AND that some translations are missing in the TM!
My customer (with Trados) found it first and told me.
I am waiting since 9.8.2013 for customer support to solve the problem.
I don't now if the missing translations in TM is a commom problem with other files (word, pdf, etc.) because I never waited for such a problem.

I had to buy CafeTran in rush and I'm very happy with it and the support.
