Dear all,
I am writing you this post in order to get your opinion on something! What do you believe should a beginner freelance translator do in order to attract more clients?!
1 - Create a website 2 - Create profiles in Proz and TranslatorsCafe 3 - Apply for jobs in this both sites
What else should we be doing?
Thank you all!!!

And a tip from me: go where your clients go, be where your clients are.

Hi,
one of the things that really pay off is to complete your ProZ.com profile. Make sure that your SEO is complete to reflect all the services you offer, including your language pairs. You might also consider becoming a ProZ member.

Translator Cafe is only serving your purpose when you become a paying member, because all jobs are for members only. By the time they will become avaiable to you (as a non-paying member) they are either closed already or the number of bits for these jobs is so high that your chances of getting "chosen" are almost zero.
A website is not necessarily a top priority for someone starting out in the industry.
You might also conduct some research in your fields, e. g. search for companies that are in need of your special services.
