German term

aus der manipulativen Ecke

German to English Other Engineering: Industrial Testing & inspection
I really am not sure how to bring this across in English. Can anyone help, please?

Da passte die XYZ perfekt, die in besonderem Maße werkstattgestützt operiert und die Werkstatt »aus der manipulativen Ecke« nimmt.
My version so far
XYZ met this criterion perfectly, because it is a workshop-based organisation and takes the workshop “out of the **manipulativen Ecke**”

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Aug 9, 2005:
XYZ claims that they're a neutral place and therefore no manipulation is possible or rather no one would even dream of accusing them of manipulation.
Non-ProZ.com Aug 9, 2005:
That is exactly the problem. It is a bit of both. If your car needs a new TV test it is up to the person or garage carrying out the inspection whether they'll actually give you the sticker or not.
Klaus Herrmann Aug 9, 2005:
manipulieren wie handhaben oder wie hinterhltig beeinflussen?

How about turning it around (if it's not based on facts, there's got to be manipulation or bribing)?
