English term

throw a sickie

English to French Medical Medical (general) general
You won't find me knocking alternative herby, tree-hugging treatments per se - so long as they remain alternative, that is. They're usually indulged in - if not to say over-indulged in - by herby, tree-hugging hypochondriacs who are never so happy as when they imagine themselves terminally ill with something that can be treated with scented bean-bag.
No, not all of them. Before you shoot off any stinging nettle missiles my way, I wouldn't dream of condemning everyone who ever threw a sickie and then self-medicated with spiced honey - often a whisky spice, I'll wager - as a waster and fantasist.
