German term

Verfügungsberechtigte

German to English Law/Patents Government / Politics real estate
The extract is taken from a legal summary. The subject is a dispute over inheritance of a property (including apartments) in former East Germany, and a summary of the encumbrances.
"Sämtliche Belastungen wurden bei Übernahme des Grundstücks in Volkseigentum gelöscht. Derzeitige Verfügungsbrechtigte über das Grundstück ist die Gemeinde XXXXXXX."

Note to editors re spelling: I have cut and pasted the question from Word format with all the umlauts intact, as instructed. However it looks odd to me. If anything is still wrong with the spelling, please advise)

Woodstock (X) Dec 17, 2005:
Sorry I'm a little late here: You seem to be missing an "e", which is why it appears odd to you. Verfgungsb*e*rechtigte, I*m 99.9% sure. But it doesn't seem to have bothered the answerer + agreeers (spelling?). ;-)
Derek Gill Franßen Dec 17, 2005:
Hi Jonathan, I just thought I'd let you know that at first the spelling looked strange to me too, but then I changed the encoding to "Western European (windows)" under the menu-item "View" in IE. Now it looks fine (all the Umlauts appear correctly). :-)
