Spanish term
prendas materiales
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Finance (general)
I have a nightmare of an Excel sheet with odd words and no context, so it's very difficult to know what it's talking about, although banks and accounts are mentioned quite a lot. The text in one cell is:
"Préstamos s/prendas mater." If it's any help to French speakers, this has been translated from the French "Prets Sur Gages Corporels", although I have been instructed to translate from the Spanish to English.

Spanish term (edited):
Préstamos sobre prendas materiales
Selected
loans secured against property
I withdraw my agreement with Satto based on your indication of the originating French term as "Prets sur Gages Corporels" which translates into Spanish as "Préstamos sobre prendas materiales" instead of "Préstamos sin prendas materiales" as Satto indicates.
Here the correct translation for "Préstamos sobre (instead of sin) prendas materiales" would be "loans secured against property"
I do not know how to delete my agreement with Satto so I opt instead for this explanation

Note from asker:
Thanks, Satto, but it would seem that s/ here may mean "sobre", as the French original provided is "sur" |
