When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Dec 1, 2002:
Hi This is a machine that excepts a card that has been provided by a hospital. I don't think that it is an ATM, because it doesn't accept credit cards from a bank, but rather the card issued by the hospital.

TIA for any suggestions!

phone card machine or vendor

In hospitals, you have to validate your private phone in your room by buying a phone card from a vendine machine (huge thing) usually located in the lobby. Once you bought the card for eg. X €/$, you put x €/$ whatever on it and stick it in your phone. Each day you use the phone, a flat sum of (€1.80 in September 2002) is automatically deducted plus your phone units. When the patient is discharge, to avoid queues in admin, you return to the machine, stick in your card, press a button, and the un-used cash charges is returned. Crystal clear???

Thanks.

This means that the bills/charges are put on the hospital's account.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Edith Kelly : Sorry to disagree, but the machine in question avoids any charges to your hospital account.
