"Argyrophil" is given as an adjective in the dictionary (Dorland): "capable of binding silver salts ... said of tissues" - but "argyrophilic processes" seems to be used a lot more than "argyrophil processes".

"Protrusion" is another word given for προσεκβολή (as opposed to προεκβολή), but I haven't found any examples of "argyrophilic protrusions".
