El resto del área de la finca corresponde a un pastizal de Brachearia decumbens con especies de árboles y arbustos dispersos de regeneración natural. Adicionalmente existen algunas especies cultivadas de cítricos como lima, mandarina y guanábana, que al parecer son parte de la revegetación de 1996.
Alrededor de los sitios de estudio, existe una vegetación alta a lo largo de la cerca de alambre de púas, en estas condiciones el crecimiento de las plantas es normal debido a la protección del alambre contra el ganado.

El color verde oscuro que se observa sobre las áreas remediadas en la imagen satelital del año 2004 corresponde a la colonización de Cyperus luzulae y regeneración de Psidium guajava debido a su alta densidad y coloración natural de la especie.
