French term

transfuseur

French to English Medical Medical (general)
From a form describing procedures for blood transfusions. At the bottom of the document, it requests the "Signature(s) transfuseur". I'm guessing that this is the person donating the blood. Does this seem correct? If so, do you think "blood donor" would suffice?

Tegan Raleigh (asker) Apr 8, 2010:
sometimes the answer is closer than it seems! I had looked up "transfuser" but apparently didn't research it thoroughly enough, because just ended up with definitions for a machine. Makes sense as designating the person conducting the procedure. Thanks, everyone!
Chris Hall Apr 8, 2010:
Joanne... I totally agree with you.
Joanne Archambault Apr 8, 2010:
Transfuseur Could be the person performing the actual blood transfusion...

Blood donor is donneur de sang in French
