GROSS RATING POINTS (GRPS): This is the total number of rating points delivered by the media plan and is expressed as a percentage. It is calculated by multiplying REACH TIMES FREQUENCY. For example, a commercial is shown on three television programs. The first show has a rating of 30, the second program of 50 and the third show of 15. The total GRP would be 95. However, if this same advertising schedule were repeated for five weeks the GRP would be 95 x 5, or 475.
