français term

exécution

français vers anglais Technique / Génie TI (technologie de l'information) skills of a particular IT
Hello,

I hope someone "in-the-know" can help me with this:

It's for someone's employment certificate:

"Développement et exécution de démonstrations de solutions"

I have put "developing and running solution demonstrations" is this ok? I'm not sure about the "running" part

Thank you so much

running OR conducting

It depends on the context. "exécution" could be translated a number of ways. If it strictly refers to an application, I would suggest "running". If it refers to someone physically giving the demonstration, Tristan's suggestion ("conducting"), is fine.
Peer comment(s):

agree TechLawDC : It is idiomatically justifiable to improve on the author's "execution" here.

agree Nikki Scott-Despaigne : "Running" in the sense of "carry out" yes; although could mean "run" in the sense of being in charge of. For that reason, I prefer "conduting", so "developing and conductiong" .

français term (edited): exécution de démonstrations

presentation / presenting

I'd use "presentation of solutions" or "presenting solutions" for "exécution de démonstrations de solutions" ;-)

presenting

"Creating and presenting demonstrations of solutions" is what I would probably use; I think it's more natural-sounding than "conducting".
Peer comment(s):

agree cc in nyc : behind me by a hair and slightly different... you kept "demonstrations"
