Discussion

AllegroTrans Dec 28, 2012:
"Prints" is generally reserved for reproductions of works of art, but yes, it's a possibility...
philgoddard Dec 28, 2012:
I even think "prints" is a possibility. One of the asker's links clearly refers to small cards or stickers, but the other one doesn't specify a size. It would help if they provided the text they're actually translating.
AllegroTrans Dec 28, 2012:
@ phil I agree - everything depends here on what the items actually are, although the 2 links given by the asker seem to point to stickers or cards rather than prints.
philgoddard Dec 28, 2012:
It seems to me that any of the three answers we've had so far could be correct. The translation depends on (a) how big they are and (b) whether they're self-adhesive, neither of which is apparent from the asker's links.

neutral philgoddard : But how do we know they're stickers rather than cards?

album of collectible prints

in this context, a lámina would be a print
Peer comment(s):

agree Robert Forstag : On the face of it (i.e., without the needed clarification on the part of the Asker) it seems more likely that an "album" would contain "collectible prints" than "collectible stickers" or "collectible cards."

neutral AllegroTrans : disagree with RF - kids (and adults!) collect football stickers and put them into albums - I would hardly call those "prints"

album of collectible plates

Las láminas son los "plates"; v.gr., de un libro, o de una publicación. Espero le ayude.
Peer comment(s):

disagree philgoddard : Have you looked at the context? Of course they're not plates from a book.
